double decker buses that will be used on the company’s Music City Hop On/Off Tour.
The announcement came towards the end of National Tourism Week, a national celebration of the tourism industry created by the U.S. Travel Association. Sightseers can now experience a Nashville tour above the rest on one of the 83-seat buses, which feature open-air seating on the top deck.
“Gray Line Tennessee has been a partner in the tourism community here in Nashville for over 40 years. From tours to trolleys, we continue to offer a variety of ways for visitors and locals alike to explore the city with friends and family,” said Gray Line of Tennessee CEO Chuck Abbott. “We are extremely proud of our heritage and it is exciting to see Nashville’s star rising on the world stage. Adding the city’s first line of open-air double decker buses to our fleet of over 140 vehicles is just another step in our long history of providing a sightseeing experience that is uniquely Nashville.”
Since arriving in Nashville in 1972, Gray Line has grown with the “It City” by expanding tour selections, adding stops and introducing new models into its commercial fleet. In 2015 alone, the company introduced 10 new luxury coaches with state-of-the art technology into its rotation. The company also announced the opening of a more than 10,000-square-foot maintenance facility to service and accommodate the company’s nearly 150 vehicles.
The new double decker buses will begin taking tours immediately
