Niagara Scenic Tours, a member of the Fisher Group, will celebrate a 90 year milestone in 2017.  On February 21, 1927, the company began in the transportation industry with carting and moving.

 

In 1947 the company began as Fisher’s Bus.  Over the next ninety years, the company grew into a full service transportation company offering student transportation, leisure and motor coach services as well as moving and storage.  Niagara Scenic Tours, is still a family run business operated by the third and fourth Fisher generation and are excited to celebrate this 90 year family milestone in the transportation industry. They will celebrate with a 90 year commemorative decal to be placed on each vehicle to proudly display this milestone serving our Western New York community. 

Niagara Scenic Tours offers a wide range of travel and transportation services. From motor coaches & mid-size equipment to school bus and a full service tour company, they offer a ONE STOP SHOP for everything travel and transportation.    Fisher Group offers additional transportation services including pupil transportation operating at Fisher Bus Service and Fisher North American, Inc. 

Niagara Scenic Tours is a locally owned and operated business.  Keith A. Niagara Scenic Tours is proud to service all of the major sports teams in Western New York  including the NFL Buffalo Bills, NHL Buffalo Sabres, International League Buffalo Bisons and several semi pro athletic teams.   Many Colleges and Universities look to Niagara Scenic for their transportation for athletics and academic travel.  Offering wifi capabilities, electrical hook ups at each seat, and $10 million liability insurance, Niagara Scenic has been a partner with several collegiate groups for many years.   

Niagara Scenic Tours has an extensive train, retrain and train again philosophy. They have created a motor coach operator training program that is unmatched in their service area concentrating on safety and superior customer service resulting in exceeding customer’s expectations and minimizing on the road incidents and mechanical issues. The extensive training program (classroom and over the road) prepares their drivers to deliver the highest quality of service while maintaining the safety and confidence while operating an over the road motor coach Safety is in the forefront at Niagara Scenic Tours.  Along with their comprehensive driver training program, Niagara Scenic had implemented electronic logs September, 2014 showing their customers their commitment to safety.   Niagara Scenic’s equipment is meticulously maintained and certified with the highest NYS Safety Rating and is Department of Defense certified.

In late 2015, the management and professional motor coach operators at Niagara Scenic Tours have taken the Eco-Driving pledge which represents both a personal & professional commitment to provide positive benefits for drivers, passengers and communities.   The Certification for Sustainable Transportation (CST) allows Niagara Scenic Tours to not only improve the environment, but also to strengthen energy and environmental performance, as well as demonstrate to the customers we serve our commitment to sustainability through eRating vehicle certification and driver training programs.  

 

History

1927 Transportation company began with one bus, called “Fisher’s Bus”

Niagara Scenic History:

1976 Acquired Niagara Scenic Bus Lines. At this time, Niagara Scenic Bus Lines was a scheduled van service between the Buffalo International Airport and hotels in Niagara Falls, NY & Canada.

1982 Purchased 3 motor coaches and began charter business.

1983 Purchased 2 additional motor coaches to meet demand.

1984 Additional 2 motor coaches were introduced to the fleet.

1985 Acquired D & F Transit to bring our fleet of vehicles to 18.

1996 Over a span of 10 years, Niagara Scenic’s fleet grew from 18 to 30 coaches.

1997 At this juncture, the company made the decision to sell Niagara Scenic Bus Lines to Coach USA.

Oct. 2005 Coach USA Withdraws from the Western New York area and leaves a void of 30 to 35 motor coaches. At this time, Niagara Scenic Tours was reborn.

August 2006 Within a year and a half, Niagara Scenic Tours grew to (7)-56 passenger coaches, (2)-29 passenger mini coaches and (1) 31-passenger coach.

November 2009 Niagara Scenic Tours purchases Know How Tours to offer full service travel and transportation needs to our customers by combining both charter services and general public & affinity group travel.

Present Niagara Scenic Tours continues to be the leader in Western New York’s travel and transportation needs. Their fleet size includes (11)-56 passenger Prevost coaches with an average age of 5 years, (3)-40 passenger Temsa mid size coach, (2) 29-passenger mini coaches and (1)-25 passenger shuttle vehicle.   IMG member since 2014.

 

Niagara Scenic’s tour division, Know How Tours offers one day and multi day tour vacations, cruises, fly/drive packages, world travel and amazing events to it’s over 10,000 client base all while delivering superior service and catering to all dietary and special needs of the customers.
