IMG Member, Richfield Bus Lines, Commitment to Saving the Past.

Commitment to saving the past: Stan Holter, Richfield Bus Lines, in conjunction with his brother Dan Holter, Rochester City Lines, continues their work in the restoration of vintage buses. The number of restorations has grown over the years, with many more vehicles having been saved from the jaws of demolition, which require work. As Stan said; "without these vehicles, the history of the bus industry is lost forever and so many of these vehicles are classic models that tell a story of the times they worked in but also about their owner". Stan hopes to see one day an official museum and home for these vehicles but until then he and his team carefully rebuild these classic vehicles into their former glory and where possible showcase them at vintage shows.

A family business: The Holter Family, in 1959 under the watchful eyes of George and Marilyn Holt, started Richfield Bus Company, today managed by their son Stan. In 1966, they started Rochester City Lines, and established a public route transit system for the city, managed by Dan Holter. On a recent visit, IMG President met with Dan at Rochester City Lines and daughter's Elise and Julia, who work part time in the business representing the third generation.
