Trans-Bridge Lines' shines a light on safety at Safety Day Awards luncheon

During Trans-Bridge Lines’ recent annual Safety Day luncheon and dinner at the Best Western in Bethlehem, a number of motorcoach drivers and shop personnel were recognized for safe driving and outstanding attendance. The theme of this year’s event was “Shine a Light on Safety.”

Forty-seven drivers received Safe Driving Awards for accident-free driving, spanning a time period of one to 45 years. Thomas JeBran, president; James JeBran, executive vice president and Kirby Parnell, senior vice president presented certificates to the drivers and shop personnel for their outstanding achievements.

Joseph Edraney, of Bethlehem, earned an impressive 45-year award, the highest earned in the history of Trans-Bridge. David Volk, of Bath, earned a 38-year award. Additional Safety Awards included: Joseph Palmer, of Phillipsburg, earned a 36-year award; Ernest Seidel, of Allentown, 30-year award; James Danner, of Bath, 29-year award; Gary Padgett, of Bath, and Evan Bevan, of Bethlehem, 24-year awards; and Robert Hill, of Allentown, and Bruce Jennings, of Pittstown, 23-year awards. Seven shop employees received perfect attendance awards.

The featured speakers at this year’s event were Carmen Daecher of Daecher Consulting, a well known safety consultant in the bus industry, and Bill O’Connell of Meadowbrook/Traveler’s Insurance.

Trans-Bridge President, Tom JeBran, closed the program by giving a brief “State of the Company” report and stressed the importance of teamwork to make Trans-Bridge Lines a good, safe and reliable company and to take care of our customers.
